Shu Uemura
The Japanese Brand Shu Uemura is another of my favourites. Their well-pigmented colours allow for excellent quality and coverage, and the colours themselves, while bold and achingly cool, are very wearable, and often more subtle than those of Nars.
I particularly love the Glow-On Blush in Amber, which is excellent for my skin-tone, and I am a long-time fan of their eyeshadows.
One really fun feature of Shu Uemura is its production of brilliant false eyelashes. With feathers and diamantes, and in an array of exciting colours, these eyelashes are very unique, and look very cool, rather than tacky.
Still on the subject of eyelashes, Shu Uemura’s eyelash curlers have long been a favourite of beauty editors. Also available in a premium 24kt gold version, this is one luxury staple of a girl’s make-up bag.
Shu Uemura is also a fantastic brand for skin-care. Their excellent cleansing oils 
are the only cleansing product I would ever give up Eve Lom for (and indeed I do, once in a while). Beautifully hydrating, all their skincare products feel luxurious and intensely moisturising. They contain carefully-composed technological enhancements, such as the Depsea treatments.
