Loving Leeks

In my most recent round of weight-loss, slimming to a UK Size 8, one food that has featured practically daily in my diet is leek.

I eat it on its own, in soups and in sauces. It is delicious, filling, and very nutritious.

Leeks have excellent nutritional values: they are a good source of fibre, Vitamin B6, folate, iron and magnesium, and a superb source of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K and Manganese.

I haven’t been able to find any information on its weight-loss credentials, but I feel certain that my daily consumption of leeks has contributed to my weight loss.
